I went to Panama for spring break this year for a medical trip (we set up free clinics in areas that need them), and I didn’t have my SLR with me so all the following photos were taken with a Canon A80 point-and-shoot. The quality isn’t fantastic but it’ll have to do.
We stayed in Panama City as well as Santiago, but during clinic days traveled to a lot more rural areas.
Version 2. These boys were part of a family of 6 (that we saw) – a mother of 28, and 5 kids ages 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10. They all had parasites, but we couldn’t do anything for the youngest because she was too young to take parasite medications.
Another of our patients. This man was a yuca farmer who played guitar and wrote love songs.
And from the city:
Views from our hotel.
Panama City has tons of huge high-rises… it’s really very developed.
