Went to Nobu for dineLA this week after hearing all about its classiness. The restaurant was indeed gorgeous, though so dark that I had a lot of difficulty taking decent pictures. It was next to impossible to get a shot holding the camera, so I resorted to plenty of table-top photography (see above). I did bring my flash with me but felt extremely obnoxious lighting up a quarter of the restaurant with it and didn’t end up using it much.
Appetizer: Salmon New Style Sashimi (thinly sliced salmon with garlic, ginger, chives, yuzu soy, lightly seared with hot olive oil). It was absolute bliss in my mouth but the portion sizes made me want to cry.
Also: I don’t know why I didn’t have a Food category until now (most of my food entries have been under Travel), but rest assured this category will be visited often.
